Story
In memory of Shep; a fun night of music, with a chance to raise money for an excellent charity.
Combining two of Shep's passions, fishing & music, this gig will feature some of Shep's family and friends' bands with all proceeds going to the Wild Trout Trust.
Some of you might have had the pleasure, and perhaps tinnitus, of hearing Shep play drums in bands such as Toad, Kontagious and Tired n Emotional. At their suggestion many members of these bands and more will be playing new songs and old to thank Shep for all the good times, on Friday November 9th 2012 at The Horn in St. Albans (www.thehorn.co.uk).
Please donate £5 each or more on here and email me directly at charlotwebster@gmail.com or state in your donation message to say either how many people are attending, or if you can't come, so we can put you on the list and send confirmation, which you will need for entry. When donating please give your e-mail address, which only I will see (tick the box that allows your email to be passed on to the fundraiser - that's me!).
On the night doors are from 8pm and live music starts at 9. It will kick off with Kinwah (Shep's neice Suzy's band), followed by Red Sails (Shep's daughter Charlot's band) and then on to the old boys playing some rock'n'roll. Email me at charlotwebster@gmail.com for any more info.
The gig is being billed by The Horn as a private party. Only a limited number of tickets will be available on the door, for security reasons, and these must be reserved through a family member. So please donate now and secure your ticket.
Those of you who were at Shep's memorial service last year may remember we were collecting for the Wild Trout Trust then, too. Shep was extremely passionate about the conservation of our rivers, particularly the local river Chess, which he spent a lot of time maintaining, preserving, and of course fishing. It is where his family scattered his ashes last year, by his request.
This charity do a lot of work protecting the environment, and in their words; "to make sure that trout, and all they stand for are there for future generations". To find out more please visit www.wildtrout.org
