The start of a new year, a period of transition in my life, back in the UK after 11 years living abroad, children almost grown up and becoming more independent, I found myself wondering 'now what?' I could do any number of things at this stage of my life, I now have time and I want to use it in a way that is helpful to others but also presents me with a new and exciting challenge. 

 

The fire and ice trek certainly caught my attention, I've never trekked anywhere apart from round the shops at Christmas! So most definitely this is something new, so why not!?! 

 

 

I have worked for many years with children and families in many different settings so I am extremely happy to be in a position to raise money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.
