** THE RAFFLE IS BEING DRAWN ON 30 DECEMBER 2010 IN LARGS  BY ACC CAMPBELL CORRIGAN - TICKETS ON SALE NOW! **

 RAFFLE DRAWN AND A GOOD FEW HOURS WITH  ACC MR CORRIGAN AND THE DIVISIONAL SMT.

 

 

We started out with just the 'three wise men', then we had the Magnificent Seven. Now we have the Baker's Dozen who are cycling round the Isle of Cumbrae, 24 hours. 

In pairs, staggered starts, 2 hrs on the saddle/1 hr rest , round the clock - Commences Sat 19th June 10:00 hrs.

Big Stevie McCormick ( affectionately known as Shrek) has unfortunately been struck with Guillain - Barre Syndrome so dig deep for a good cause.

  **   UPDATE : 11th May.  **

Stevie has been transferred from the Southern General, Glasgow to Pavilion 11 at Ayrshire Central, Irvine to continue his treatment and rehabilitation.

He thanks everyone for their support and welcomes all visitors.

Times 2pm - 4.30pm and 6pm - 8pm every day.

  

** UPDATE : 14th May **

Stevie is getting home for the weekend Friday 14th - Monday 17th May. A rather large family size Chinese meal has been ordered.

 

** UPDATE : 15th May  **

We now have the dozen for the whole 24 hr cycle (Peter found a friend!) - however all budding cyclists are invited to join The Trekkers at some point on Saturday. Come over and hire a bike and give us, Stevie and the charity some support.

 

**   UPDATE : 18th May  **

BREAKING NEWS - Stevie got released from hospital today.

 

** Sunday 20th June **

That's the Trek completed and all thirteen (Sean McManus joined us) gave it their best shot. We are all very tired, but proud that we have assisted big Stevie and the charity.

 

The fund raising continues though and this site will remain active for another 3 months.

GAIN is dedicated to helping people affected by GBS, CIDP and the associated inflammatory neuropathies. We provide information and support to patients and their families, raise awareness of the conditions amongst medical and social care professionals, and help to fund and facilitate research.
