Story
Annabel and I started to raise money for this challenge last year, in the worst recession any of us have experienced! To those of you who so generously donated, rest assured, the money has been held by Breast Cancer Care and will be put towards our Inca Trail walk this year which is planned for September - we are not giving up!! We are determined to do this so please help us raise the remainder of the money required.
As times are so tight, we are asking that if money is difficult, you send us an 'item' of something you may not use, an unwanted Christmas gift, a designer handbag that is several seasons old, that pair of shoes you bought and couldn't walk it - anything really that is in excellent condition that we can sell on ebay with the money going towards our target. One item per person only please! Send to:

It is not a 'jolly' and at 14,000 feet, potential altitude sickness can include nausea, headaches, vomiting and double vision, hence this is considered one of the more challenging treks.
The other challenge, apart from the obvious walking for 8hrs a day without the usual required levels of oxyen, is going to be the issue of sharing a tent, a prospect that is already posing potential territorial issues as is the lack of basic facilities!
We are serious about raising a vast amount of money for Breast Cancer Care as a significant amount of our friends have been touched by this terrible disease. Times are very hard and we appreciate anything at all you can spare. All of the money raised through events such as these goes directly to supporting the 46,000 people in the UK who are diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Breast Cancer Care gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
