We've done it!!

Nicky and I have now completed our bike ride.  Thanks to everyone who has supported us.

 

What we are doing .....

At the end of September Nicky and I will be participating in a bike ride from London to Paris.  The trip will take us 4 days, covering over 300 miles and we'll be cycling all the way (except for the short stretch of water between Dover and Calais)

Why we're doing this .......

Six Counties Kidney Patients Association (SCKPA) - is a small, locally run charity which provides support to kidney patients in Oxfordshire, Northants, Bucks, Berks and parts of Wiltshire and Glos.  They provide equipment for the dialysis units in those areas and finacial support to kidney patients in order to help them enjoy and participate in the activities most of us take for granted.

I have been very grateful for their support with regards to my mum, Candy.  She suffered kidney failure in 1992 and had been on kidney dialysis for 16 years until a successful transplant in 2008.  In that time SCKPA have helped us out with educational materials and organising dialysis treatment in Singapore so she could return home to see her parents.
