Virgin London Marathon 2012 · 22 April 2012 ·

Newcastle United Foundation uses passion for football to make a real difference to the lives of local children, young people and families. Every year we work with over 69,000 people across a number of sports, health, education and youth projects.

Story

This year, I'll be running the London Marathon for the 4th time in a row. When I started four years ago, all I wanted to do was break the 4-hour mark. This year I'm shooting for a sub-3:30 hour time!

I've worked my arse off to get into the shape I am, and this target is looking like a real possibility. If you'd like to reward me for my efforts, please give generously to the Newcastle United Foundation.

Whether you're an NUFC fan or not, this is a worthy cause that helps disadvantaged youngsters and families in the north-east.

You can donate by text too. Simply text 'SJAL99 £2' to 70070 and donate £2. If you want to donate more, just change the amount to £5, £10 or £20!

As ever, I'm writing up what's going on in training at sirjogalot.com.

Thanks so much for the support!
