Story
On Sunday November 14th, my assistant (Billy) & I will be walking eight miles (12.8 kilometres) through London, the capital of the island that is England. We will be raising money for Diabetes UK on the Bridges of London Challenge walk.
My walker's Father has had type one diabetes for fifty three years. He had a kidney transplant fours years ago to overcome the deletrious effects that this disease has upon the body.
Any donations will be greatly received. Thank you.
Skye.
(DAY ONE, T-21: I had to add an extra zero to my target, after a wonderful first day of sponsorship! Thank you! Merci Beaucoup! Vielen Dank!) (Und, the quip about the Island, is a little joke that us German dogs like to make..)
(T-17: I am pleased to announce, that Billy's brother Jay (aka Stuart) will be joining us on the walk)
(T-16: Thank you to Jay/Stuart's sponsors, pushing us towards an amazing 4 figures. I have upped my target by 50%! Merci Beaucoup! Vielen Dank! Thank You!)
(T-10: Thanks to all for the steady stream of donations over the past ten days, pushing the target higher once again)
(T-2: Thank you for all the donations. With a couple of days to go, and rain (suprisingly..) in London hampering training, we are making a push towards 2k! Cheers!)
COMPLETED! Skye, Jay & Billy, along with 227 other people reached the finishing line in St Katharine's Dock. The weather was typically English - it rained for the entire 4 hours of the walk!
I have uploaded as many pictures from the day, as this website would allow.
(T+1M: Current final total raised is a fantastic 2702.50.)
