Story

We completed this gruelling challenge on Saturday.  We beat our target of 9 hours - Simon crossed the finishing line at 8 hours and 56 minutes.  I can tell you personally that this was the most difficult physical challenge I've ever undertaken - my body was shaken after the bike run and it took me a while to recover.

We have some photos available to look at of the day - somehow they missed me out of the action :(

In the end we had just the one team due to injury but we're all keen to do this again next year.  It was incredibly well organised and the level of fitness of the people taking part was extreme.

Thanks for all your donations!

Dave.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Skyscanner JustGiving page.

We are stupidly doing a duathlon around Loch Ness which is MASSIVE.  A duathlon is a running and cycling event and as some of you may know most of us either hate cycling, hate running or hate both so dig deep and sponsor us for the pain we're putting ourselves through!

This isn't a fun-run we're doing - it's a serious event where everyone is actually racing against each other.  There are plenty of former sports professionals attending so we don't stand a chance but we will be draining our bodies on the day.  It's been a tough battle to get our two teams to the actual day - we've lost 2 members through injuries already -

Laura Wilson is filling in for Richard Evans who crashed headfirst into an electricity box whilst looking anywhere other than in front of him on his bike.

Frank Skivington has bailed out claiming a leg injury in the weeks running up to the event so don't think this event is easy - it's REALLY tough.

Check out the details at the following website and please pay us as much dosh as you can!  We'd love to smash our target of £400.  We're each doing two legs each - 1 helter skelter run followed by a marathon cycle.

Stick a note against your donation for who are sponsoring to egg them on - all the money is pooled together for both teams.

Thanks for your support!

Dave and the Skyscanner Teams.
