You all know that we make a great team in real life, so we wanted to put our teamwork towards a very important cause and raise money for our homeland the Philippines. Both of our families are from areas that have been affected by Typhoon Haiyan. Katya has family in the city most devasted by the Typhoon, Tacloban.
We have joined the #RisePhilippines campaign started by another inspirational filipino and fellow GW alum Isabel Sanchez.
Over 3,500 people have been reported dead and 12,000 injured. There have been no signs of aid trucks and survivors are suffering from hunger, thirst, and lack of shelter, including many children.
