Story
Shimaila, Faatima, Gemma and Rumeana climbed (and then walked down) on Aug 7th to raise money for victims of the conflict and recent floods in Swat, Pakistan. More than 1,600 people have died overall in the worst floods in 80 years. This is on top of conflict which has been ongoing since last year, when 2 million fled their homes. Around 80% of those in refugee camps are kids. So we’re hoping to raise lots of cash for Islamic Relief which is providing help for victims including food, shelter, healthcare and psychological support. IR is an international relief and development charity that works with communities regardless of their religion, race or gender. We’d like you to help us so please give what you can.
- The climb is part of Shimaila and Faatima's campaign to raise £10,000 for the Swat refugees
