Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I am running the Great South Run in Portsmouth on 26th October 2008 In hope of raising as much money as possible for the National Society for Epilepsy. As many of you may know, i myself am epileptic and proud!
The NSE are a fantastic charity who work tirelessly and effortlessly to offer support and knowledge for all those living with Epilepsy in their lives. One in every 131 people in the UK are affected by Epilepsy, this means over 456,000 people are currently living with Epilepsy in the UK
It is a MYTH that having Epilepsy prevents you being normal and leading a fantastic life. Epilepsy affects different people in different ways and can be controlled through a course of medication, however it is for most, a condition for life.
I myself have felt empowered and determined since being diagnosed at 12 yrs old. This is a condition which i control, it does not control me! An attitude many in this situation will also share. I am pasionate and determined to show my support for this wonderful charity and i would love if you could all do the same through showing your support for my race!
All the money raised goes towards research into epilepsy, working to find better ways of diagnosis, treatment and care for people living with Epilepsy. A cause which is very well deserving!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: National Society for Epilepsy gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
