We raise funds for a better hospital to help local people when they need it most

Story

Hi everyone,
I have been married for 6 years and have 3 fantastic daughters.  Last July, we had a little girl called Olivia Faith, stillborn at 25 weeks.  This was obviously an incredibly difficult time for us but one that was made so much easier by the amazing and continuous support of the doctors and midwives at the hospital.

I have felt for some time that I would like to do something to help their work and I have found that the charity are trying to raise £5,000 for the refurbishment of the bereavement suite.  Such events are very personal and private times and this facility would help families like mine to continue to be cared for in privacy.

In order to raise the money, I have agreed to run an ultra-marathon;  40 miles across the Peak District in September.  The charitable fund within my firm, Mazars, have kindly agreed to donate £1,500 towards this cause but the balance will fall to my friends, family and colleagues.

This is an amazing cause and one that is obviously very close to my heart.  Please dig deep and give what you can.

Many thanks

Simon
