On 24th October 2010 I will be taking part in the Birmingham Half Marathon.

Before considering whether to sponsor me to complete this challenge, please bear in mind that I don't like running!! ...

... and now that you've decided it is definitely worthwhile, all you have to think about is how much you're willing to sponsor me!

I am a member of a group of young (and not quite so young) Engineers who form the West Midlands branch of Engineers for Overseas Development (EFOD) www.efod.org.uk

We have been supporting a community of widows in Koutulai, near Mbale in Uganda, for almost 2 years now. Last year we raised funds to build a grinding mill and to provide a milling machine for the community.  This year we are currently improving health and hygiene for the same community by installing latrines and a safe water supply.

All the money raised from my participation in this event will go directly to funding this project and next year's project which will also be in association with this Ugandan community.
