In Nottingham, we have already supported the students at Foxwood School in Bramcote, by building an outdoor play area at a cost of nearly £21,000. We want to continue this effort locally. It is therefore essential that the national charity maximises its fund raising in order to continue the policy of fund matching.

Between the 29^th June – 1^st July 2006, 60 teams will climb four of the highest mountains in Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland totalling 14,000 feet and drive 1,900 miles non-stop within 48 hours!!

The Wooden Spoon Four Peaks Challenge is now entering its seventeenth year and on the 29th June 2006, we're off again. "We" are a group of ordinary people of all ages and from all walks of life who enjoy a challenge. We invite you to embrace the most exciting and rewarding event we have ever been involved in. This challenge has an unprecedented record for exceeding pledged fund raising levels. For example, in 2005, a staggering £461,000 was pledged by Four Peaks Challengers and in excess of £465,000 has been collected. As we enter 2006, past challengers can celebrate having pledged over £4 million between them for Wooden Spoon projects throughout the !

We have just completed a training weekend in the Lakes. We saw heavy snow at the top of the peaks! We hope June will be different. JJ, Gary Pearce & Jon Devine will climb the peaks, ably accompanied by Peter Mycock, who will provide the support services and have the responsibility of getting us from mountain to mountain in one piece.

Commercial sponsorship is also available from as little as £200. There are options to have your logo on our clothing and/or the support vehicle.
