We provide specialist care and support to people with life limiting illnesses.
Story
Thanks for visiting the STA fundraising page.
2009 is STA’s 30th year and to celebrate we’re dedicating the whole year to raising money for St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice.
Our major initiative is for the ten of us to collectively travel 3,000km by swimming, cycling, walking and running, in fact by any non motorized method of travel.
When we drew a big circle on the map, we found that Crete was 3,000 Km away, and as Crete and Crewe share 80% of their letters it was the perfect virtual destination.
We’re looking to complete our 3,000km before December 31st so dig deep and please put a couple of bob our way.
How about a penny a kilometre? You could sponsor the team for £30 or if you fancy a flutter and you like a gamble pick a person. Will Maria manage the most miles or will Paul haul ‘em in on his own?
If £30 sounds too much to give in one go, give monthly according to the kilometres we do. Or just give a quid a thousand (£3) or 30p or 3p or nothing. No don’t give nothing, do give something, anything.
Whatever you can afford will be greatly appreciated and donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us on behalf of St Luke's Cheshire Hospice.
The money you give will be used wisely and compassionately to assist those affected by life threatening illness. Our sincere wish is that you will take a moment to reflect on the quality of your own life and consider making a donation that will help towards giving the patients of St Lukes Hospice the loving care that they deserve.
Justgiving gets your money to St Luke’s faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving ensures 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
For 35 years, St Luke’s has been providing free of charge specialist palliative care and support for people in mid & south Cheshire living with life limiting illnesses. Our support begins from the moment someone is diagnosed, through to palliative care and then ultimately end of life care.
