Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for the following event / challenge!

West Woodhay to Paris Cycle Ride in aid of the Sarah Greene Crocus Fund (200 miles in 3 days)

More details on this charity and event follow:

In December 2006 a good friend of ours Sarah Greene died after a hugely courageous battle against breast cancer. She was 44 years old with two children.  Sadly Sarah died from a currently incurable strain of this disease, called triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). The Sarah Greene Crocus Fund has been founded in her memory and is committed to raising money in to research at Guys Hospital which has been set-up by Paul Ellis, Sarah's oncologist.

On June 26th 2008 a group of Sarah's friends, her husband, son and I are setting off from West Woodhay (near Newbury, where Sarah lived), and are cycling to Paris.  This is a distance of about 200 miles which we hope to complete over 3 days ! I write to ask whether you would be kind enough to offer support in this challenge by sponsoring me.  We are all covering are own expenses and all sponsorship monies will go directly towards the fund.

I would be so grateful for any donation, however modest.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Breakthrough Breast Cancer gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please, sponsor me now!
