Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This is what I have done
'P' COMPANY CHALLENGE:
For those seeking an even tougher race, The Parachute Regiment challenges you to attempt the 10 Mile 'P' Company Cross Country Route, carrying a bergen (rucksack) weighing 35lb (excluding food water) and wearing military style boots. Competitors rucksacks will be weighed before and after the race, by race officials. The P Company Challenge is open to individuals and teams of 4 (With the first 3 runners to count). As a guide the Paratroopers Company Selection cut off time is 1 hr 50 minutes. The video opposite , about 3mins 20 seconds in is what I am doing. For the event there is the target time , and a cut off of 3 hours. I am looking for 2-2 hrs15mins , anything quicker I will be chuffed to bits with !!!
It's DONE ! I managed 2hrs 16mins - a minute outside my target time - but I did carry 40 lbs - 5 more than the required 35 - so overall am really pleased.
This is the first time this event has been run for 15 years , with a really good turn out of some 650 runners.Of that around 300 went for the painful option like me ! The Parachute Regiment have already confirmed they will organise this for next year , so if you fancy a challenge then you have 12 months to prepare ! www.paras10.com for more info.
I will be there again looking for a much an improved time.

Thanks again for all your support , it was the motivation for me to train and compete so I can't thank you all enough.Especially about 8 miles in when I started creaking a bit , and the thought of all the messages of support kept me going.
It was an incredible experience getting over the line , knowing I had done it.
Thanks Steve.
p.s I'm still on the scrounge .So please send my Justgiving page on to anyone else who might like to donate:
