Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Hannibal Challenge.
On Saturday 14th September, the UBS team (Peter Gilbert, Julian Bryant, Denton Capp, Andy Parker, Kate Hose, Penny Browne, Gabriela Voegtli, Veronica Huyer, Mathis Muery and myself) will be setting out to walk up to 55 km and climb up to 3,000 meters. The walk is a marathon over the Southern Alps in the footsteps of the great Hannibal. We will be returning to Les Esquirousses and complete the journey on Sunday 16th September. The rough Alpine terrain makes the walk as challenging as running a marathon in London or New York due to the steep ascents and descents that rise and fall 1 mile along the route.
The primary purpose of the Hannibal Challenge is to raise much needed funding for the Fredericks Foundation which helps disadvantaged individuals become self-sufficient and independent of the benefits system. They help themselves through self-employment by starting a sustainable business with vital funding from Fredericks and free Business Mentor support. For more information about The Fredericks Foundation, please visit www.fredericksfoundation.org.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Fredericks Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Your sponsorship will go towards our UBS combined team efforts, so please sponsor me now! Alternatively, you can use the UBS Team sponsorship website at http://www.justgiving.com/UBSHannibalTeam. All moneys from both these websites will go towards the Fredericks Foundation.
Many thanks for your support.
