Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page
I am leading a band of 11 friends on an expedition on July 4th this year to raise some much needed monies for local charities plus help get a number of us into physical shape!
The challenge is to climb, and travel between, the tallest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales. We are attempting to do this within a continuous 24 hour period. The distance walked is around 25 miles, the height climbed is around 10,000 feet, and the distance to be covered between the mountains is some 450 miles.
The Red Cross carry out very important charity work in the UK looking after people in our local communities when crisis and emergencies happen, and then helping them recover and move on with their lives. I will be raising money on their behalf and would ask you to please give generously.
I would like to say a big thankyou to Premier Farnell who have kindly provided £300 in match fund sponsorship.
I will keep you posted on how the training and practice walks go and will share with you all video and photo's during the challenge.
Thanks
Steve
