For those who can remember I did the Half Ironman triathlon last year and managed to raise about £750 for BHF. Hopefully I can go one better this year by doubling the distance and sponsorship total.

The Ironman consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, finishing up with a marathon 26.2 miles all to be completed consecutively. This gruelling journey will take place in Bolton on the 2 August 2009. I had to choose between some of the most glamorous Ironman locations in the world - S.Africa,  Australia, Hawaii and I chose Bolton!

If you can spare a few pounds to this worthwhile cause it would be much appreciated, not to mention helping to spur me on during the race and the many hours of training each week.
