Story
There are 250,000 men living with prostate cancer across the country – many of them in Liverpool - and our goal should be to ensure all these men get the care and support they need regardless of where they live. Cancer is becoming a common story that is affecting most families and most households at some point in their lives in Britain. Thankfully, survival stoies are also increasing and I passionately believe that the day will come when we find the cure for cancer.
Untill then, we need to fight this disease head on and give more help to men who contract this cancer. That is why I have pledged to help Prostate Cancer UK bring about real and lasting change for men in Liverpool and beyond. By working together as a team, I am sure victory can be ours.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and set to be the most common cancer overall by 2030 yet there are still wide variations in the standard of care that men receive across the country. Men deserve the best care and treatment, and we’re determined that’s exactly what they get.
