Me again I'm afraid, with yet more "please sponsor me nonsense"....

My intention is to walk the 2500 miles/4000 km of National Trails in England and Wales over the next 10 months to raise money for Help For Heroes, The Cystic Fibrosis Trust and the RAF Association (RAFA).  I will be setting up a fundraising page for each one; if any, some or all of these great causes appeal then please throw a couple of pence my way via this site!  All of the funds donated through here go to the charities (JustGiving take a miniscule cut to cover their costs although that comes from the GiftAid, not affecting the amount of your donation).

It would be a bit tricky to get enough time off work to do all these walks back to back hence I shall be using my annual leave allowance, my post-detachment leave allocation and any other time I can get off work to achieve these walks one by one.  I shall be doing the walks unsupported and will be camping along the way to keep costs to a minimum.

There are 15 individual trails in England Wales ranging from 84 miles in length up to 630 miles.  More details can be found at http://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/ and I shall be setting up a website soon to chart my progress......

As I said, I'm aiming to do this over the next 10 months but am allowing myself a little leeway on that to accomodate the vageries of work!
