We offer care, support and information to anyone affected by breast cancer

Story

Our charity fundraising this year was initally directed at Breast Cancer charities in memory of Sue Taylor. Sue was married to Peter and as a couple are remembered with great affection and respect by all who knew them; as houseparents of School and Dronfield Boarding houses, teachers at St Peters and CPS and as loving parents to Ben and Rachel.

Since our launch with a 24hr 5-a-side football marathon, that raised over £1,000 we have held a sponsored swim, CPS activities, St Peters 1/2 marathon and a hugely successful and major Concert in the Minster.

However as the fundraising has grown so has our commitment to cancer charities as a whole. We have seen two colleagues begin their battles with breast and bowel cancer this year and have consequently broadened our support for these related charities .

We now have ten runners from the School, in addition to Ben Taylor and two teams of OPs and friends of the School, who are aiming to round off the year's efforts by completing the Edinburgh Marathon on 23rd May.

We all hope that you will feel able to sponsor us as a group to run in this event so we can raise the maximum amount of money for both Breast and Bowel cancer charities.

All money donated on this page will go directly to Breast Cancer Care; if you wish to contribute to our fundraising for bowel cancer, please go to http://www.justgiving.com/Ben-Wall0 . We are committed to raising at least £ 3,000 for our runners who have taken places in the marathon to run for breast cancer. However we want to raise significantly more than this and ask for all your support in this.
