I fInally got to do my skydive!!  It was a phenominal experience!

THANK YOU so much for your support and sponsorship.  This page will be online for a few weeks yet for anyone who wishes to add their contribution.  I will update the final total raised before the page closes early in July.

Up to now the total (once I have collected all monies) should reach in excess of £1400!! This is FANTASTIC!!

Due to adverse weather conditions my tandem skydive has been rescheduled for Saturday 23 May.

The inspiration to raise funds for Christie’s came from my admiration for Christine, a member of the admin team at work.  In January last year Christine was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  As a mum with a young daughter and a job to contend with, many would have buckled under the pressure of major surgery and the Chemotherapy that followed, but Christine was back in work at the earliest possible moment after her operation.  During her six month course of Chemo, she was off just a couple of days during the treatment week and then back in every day until the next month’s treatment came around.  Through all this, Christine has stayed positive and never complained.    

Not everyone in Christine’s position is as fortunate or able to tackle the situation in the way that she has.  Christine has faced each challenge with such determination and courage that I felt she deserved some recognition. 

To salute Christine and to support Christie’s in helping others with cancer, I have arranged to do a sponsored tandem skydive on Saturday 9 May 2009.  I am paying for the jump myself so that every penny I receive in sponsorship will go straight to Christie’s.

If you feel you would like to sponsor me to raise funds for this worthy cause, it doesn’t matter how big or how small your sponsorship is, it will be very much appreciated.

Please note, that as skydiving is a weather dependent activity, there is a possibility that it may not go ahead on the dated stated.  If this is the case it will be rearranged until it falls on a day when conditions are favourable.
