Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
As most of you are aware our daughter Summer Hope was born with a serious abdominal wall defect called an exomphalos. This meant she was born with her bowel and part of her liver outside of her body in a membraneous sac. Summer spent the first three weeks of her life within the Neonatal unit at the Princess Anne Hospital where she received wonderful care.
At four and a half months Summer was re-admitted to the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) at Southampton General Hospital with a diaphramatic hernia. She had an emergency operation to correct this in the middle of the night. Her life was saved by the team of doctors working in this department.
We would like to try and make asmuch money as possible for this wonderful cause.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Southampton Hospital Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
The money will be shared between the Neonatal Unit and the PICU.
All donations are gratefully accepted and will help so many babies and children in the future.
