Story

As some of you are very aware I am greatly known for my past fundraising portfolio, my involvement in two consecutive fashion shows at university, and the odd busking here and there has inspired me to take it to the next and ultimate level of fundraising.  What could be more challenging than running 26.2 miles in a city that i have never stepped foot in my whole entire life?.... The ING New York Marathon.

The adrenaline rush that I am about to encounter, not only on the day, but throughout the preparation process can only be one of the most hardest and exciting challenges I am to embark upon.

In order to complete this dream goal of mine,  I ask you to support and join me on this roller coaster ride and make a kind and of course generous donation to two of my chosen charities.

The first one being SCOPE.  For over the past three years I have been working closely with disabled people in the community and my passion towards creating a comfortable environment for both disabled and non disabled people to work together is one that i long desire. In this world people strive for equality on a daily basis, however one area that I feel has not had enough awareness raised is the realistic and achievable goal of equality for disabled people.  SCOPE are one of many charities that work everyday to achieve this goal, locally, nationally and world wide!  I aim to donate £1500 to this charity.

The rest of the money that I aim to raise (anything that falls above £1500) will be donated to Fight for Life. This too  is an inspiring organisation, which raises funds to purchase vital equipment for the children’s radiotherapy unit at the UCH in central London which services all of Great Ormond Street's radiotherapy needs. It also supports and pays for the unit’s play area which makes the whole trauma of treatment less frightening.

I am sure that many of you who know me well, know exactly why I am raising money for such organisations and if not, then im sure you will know why exactly you are about to sponsor me.  As time goes on, more and more people around us are suffering from such illnesses and agree or not: Kids and Equality are our present and more importantly our future!!

I have set myself quite a high target of raising at least £3,500 and have decided to donate any additional money raised to help undeveloped schools in Israel.  However, one can appreciate that this cannot be confirmed once the money is raised. So I am giving you the opportunity to make a difference right now by making a donation.  Please do not forget to tick the giftaid box to ensure these chosen charities can claim an extra 28% on top of your donation.

Thank you for reading and most of all for your generosity!!
