For a bit of background information on our fundraising challenge, please read on....

A group of us from Swanage Fire Station are in training for the Fire Service Three Peaks Challenge on 23rd June 2010.  (You can usually spot us on a Wednesday night or Sunday morning looking sodden and bedraggled as it always seems to rain when we are just about to set off from the Fire Station!)

The Three Peaks Challenge consists of us walking the highest peaks in Scotland, England & Wales (namely Ben Nevis (4,404 ft), Scafell (3,206 ft) and Snowdon (3,560 ft) and also travelling a total of 500 miles in a minibus, all within 24 hours!

Not only will this be a personal challenge for us but we are also looking to raise as much money as we can for the Fire Fighters Charity.  Every year the Charity helps thousands of people from the fire service community and their families with therapy, recuperation and beneficiary support services.  In fact, some of our fire fighers from Swanage Fire Station have personally benefited from the Charity.
