As I wrote to you, I'm raising funds for the Raleigh International charity (www.raleigh.org.uk) to support their work with young people that they carry out through expeditions overseas and through initiatives within the UK.

I shall be completing a 1 mile swim in Lake Windermere (which is cold, deep and scary!) on Saturday September 13th and would be very grateful if you would sponsor me. UPDATE!!  I'VE DONE IT - 1 MILE IN 15.1 DEGREES COLD, GREEN, MURKY WATER IN 44 MINS AND NO FISH BITES :-) (sponsorship still welcome!)
