Syria Crisis Appeal
Thank you for visiting our page
The crisis in Syria is hard to ignore and the pictures we see in the media bear little resemblance to what is actually happening. For countless Syrians, who have endured two years of brutal conflict, that urgency is a daily reality. With their homes bombed and their jobs gone, where will they live? How will they get food, water, medicine?
This is without a doubt the world’s most pressing humanitarian crisis. The scale is staggering and getting worst. In order to help those who have been affected by this catastrophe we have launched several fundraising initiatives to raise money. We have already climbed Ben Nevis (18 May 2013) and successfully ran a charity football tournament at Broadway School, Birmingham. Our target is £10,000 and so far we have raised £9,155. Please help us to achieve our target.
“Our house was bombed. It’s all gone. Nothing left,” said a woman who is too afraid to offer her name. She is now living in a small room—about 8 feet by 20 feet—inside an unused restaurant in Lebanon. Seven other members of her extended family are crowded into the dark, damp room with her. There is no running water. And the family can only afford to eat one decent meal a day, with whatever is left-over providing meagre fixings for a second.
This is not an isolated case by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, for many this is a daily occurrence. Please ask yourself this, what would you do if you or your family were in that situation? Would you stand by and watch? Please donate what you can;
