Story
Thank you to all those for your support! Glen swam a massive 14,000 meters on Sunday - much farther than he had expected. Well done Glen and once again thank you so much to all of you for your support. We have raised over £1,500 for Cancer Research & Rowan Gymnastics.
Glen Dufty to swim in memory of beloved wife
Glen, once referred to as “Mad Dog” for his love of pushing himself to his physical limits, will swim for 6 hours in the Fitness First pool at Cheltenham in memory of his late wife Tamsin Dufty.
Tamsin's life was cut short after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of ovarian cancer. She passed away only two short months after the diagnosis in April 2008 at the age of 46. As a physiotherapist, Tamsin touched many lives in the local area and this swim will enable Tamsin's memory to continue to touch the lives of others.
Glen's six hour swim will take place on the morning of the 17th May, 2009, his late wife's birthday. The sponsorship money raised will be equally split between Cancer Research UK and the Rowan Gymnastics Club based here in Cheltenham. If you would prefer to donate in cash or send a cheque please send the sponsorship money to Glen Dufty c/o G&T Hair, Unit 60, Basepoint Business Centre, Oakfield Road, Tewkesbury, GLOS, GL20 8SD. This webpage is only for donations for Cancer Research UK.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor Glen now!
