I am going to take part in the one-mile outdoor swim taking place in Alton Water reservoir, near Ipswich, Suffolk on 19th June 2010.

I'll be raising money for Cancer Research UK and swimming in memory of my Mum, Joy D'Aulerio.

My Mum was my inspiration and she supported me through everything, including many sponsored swims from an early age. She unfortunately lost her battle with cancer in June 2008 and not a day goes by without me spending time thinking and missing her. The memories keep me strong and I am hoping that with your support , I can raise money for Cancer Research UK and for it to be a joyous tribute to a very special person, My Mum.
