Story

Wednesday 30th January is a big day for Danone Waters and WheelPower!  If you’re wondering why, read on…

Here at Danone Waters we are totally inspired by the work that WheelPower does to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in sport.  Those people might have been disabled from birth or had an accident that has left them in a wheelchair for life.  They might take part in sport on a recreational level, or they might be elite athletes participating in this summer’s Paralympics in Beijing.

Did you know that around 4% of Paralympians who will be taking part in the London 2012 Paralympic Games in London are not yet disabled?  WheelPower will work with these individuals, and others are already aiming to take part in the Games, to prepare and compete on a world class level.  But WheelPower is also working with hundreds of other disabled people for whom sport is a way to unlock physical, psychological and social benefits and a means to improving their lives.

Please support us today! We’ve committed to raising £2,400 for WheelPower in a fundraising frenzy – but we must have your donation TODAY for it to count!  Thank you so much, from WheelPower, hundreds of disabled sports people all over the country and Team Athens at Danone Waters.
