Story

Team Rycote - Gobi Challenge 2008

Team Rycote consists of Simon & Ryan Davies (Father & Son) and Giles Heeks.

The Sandbagger Gobi Challenge has firmly established itself as one of the World's finest desert events. It is an immense physical and mental challenge, with stunning terrain (including an ice gorge, Asia's highest sand dunes and mountain gorges). The terrain is home to wolves, vultures and nomadic goat herders and is described as one of the least forgiving environments on earth, serving as a real test to the Rycote team's boundaries. Over the period of a week we will cover between 130 and 140 miles on foot while carrying all our own food, provisions and mandatory safety gear.
