Our Story

Mel

I’m Mel and I’m part of the Tribal Project Admin team. I came into recovery in September 2023 after struggling with alcohol and my mental health. Recovery gave me the chance to rebuild my life, my confidence and my sense of purpose.Today I’m proud to be involved with Tribal Project, helping others who are facing their own challenges with substance misuse and mental health. I know personally how important it is to have somewhere safe, supportive and non judgemental to turn to.

Rikkie

I’m Rikkie and I’m 3 and a half years into my recovery. Recovery has completely changed my life. I’m now a family man, I do a little boxing, I run marathons and I’m proud to be a facilitator with Tribal Project, supporting others on their own recovery journeys. I never imagined my life would look like this. Recovery has given me purpose, confidence and a future I once couldn't see.

Why We’re Campaigning

We’re fundraising for Tribal Project because we both know first hand the difference support can make.

Tribal Project is a grassroots charity supporting people affected by substance misuse and associated mental health difficulties. They don’t just help people stop a behaviour. They help people rebuild their lives, develop new skills, improve their wellbeing and find their place in the world again.

Every penny raised will help Tribal Project continue providing that support to people who need it.

We’re not just fundraising for a charity. We’re giving back to a place that helps people believe that change really is possible.

Thanks

Mel & Rikkie
