Chevrolet UK Ltd Running in

Chevrolet is delighted to be running the Edinburgh Marathon and Hairy Haggis Team Relay for the Teenage Cancer Trust Remember Zoë fund. Chevrolet Retailer Mark Wallace cars in Broxburn told Chevrolet about the trust as they already support the Teenage Cancer Trust by supplying a Chevrolet car branded with the TCT logo.  When Chevrolet heard about the Appeal it decided to offer it’s support by running the Edinburgh Marathon for the TCT Remember Zoë Appeal too.

Chevrolet has entered 4 teams into the Team Relay:

The Chevy Blazers - Rory Harvey (Chevy MD), Leon Caruso, Rachel Eastick, David Gripton.

The Chevy Chasers: Rebecca Lawman, Tim Scurlock, Victoria Ketley and Matthew Edwards.

The Chev-relays: Kiara Blenkinsop, Ryan Deluchi, Iain McFayden, Rebecca Sykes.

Captiva-ting Runners: Richard Sowter, Douglas Perry, Isobel Whittaker, Andrew Cresdee

Zoë King was an inspiration to all who met her - staff, fellow patients, relatives and friends. She had been fighting cancer for three years and sadly lost her battle last September just 5 days before her 18th birthday. In commemoration of her an appeal has been launched to raise funds to provide age appropriate facilities for teenagers fighting cancer.

All funds raised through the TCT Remember Zoë fund go towards building a specialist Teenage Cancer Trust Unit at theor thefor Sick Children in .  Zoë was also passionate to help teenagers who had lost their hair due to chemotherapy, as she had.  A percentage of TCT Remember Zoë funds go towards the better wigs campaign.

Teenage Cancer Trust is a charity dedicated to helping teenagers fight cancer. Zoë had been fighting cancer for three years and had been treated at thefor Sick Children in .  The staff are fantastic but the facilities aren't appropriate for teenagers.

Cancer is the most common cause of death at this age.  Incidence rates are now higher in teenagers and young adults than in children, yet survival rates fall behind those of children and older adults. Teenage Cancer Trust exists to ensure that teenagers and young adults are diagnosed efficiently, treated effectively, and have the support they need to make it through their treatment and rebuild their lives after cancer.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Teenage Cancer Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor Chevrolet now!

Many thanks for your support. If you are free on the 25th May do come along and cheer the Chevrolet teams on!
