Story
On Friday 5th June 2009, our dear friend Charisma Patel lost her brave
battle against Cancer - she was 27 years old. It was in 2006 that she
was diagnosed with this illness and for 3 long years she fought it
until she was too weak to fight anymore.
During this period, she truly was an inspiration. She showed strength and courage beyond belief and unsurprisingly continued to put other people first - even during the tough times.
To those that knew her, she truly was the most wonderful and caring person. Someone so full of life. A life that was cruely brought to an end.
Its not until something like this happens that you begin to realise the seriousness of the illness and it is because of this we have decided to do what we can, to help in the effort to aid those that are unfortuantely suffering from Cancer.
In order to raise funds, we have decided to participate in the mount Kilimanjaro trek in September 2010. Although this is likely to be a tough task, it is nothing compared to what those who are suffering from cancer are going through.
Our chosen charity is Marie Curie Cancer Care - an outstanding organisation that needs no introduction.
The money we aim to raise will help Marie Curie continue in their effort to care for terminally ill patients, continue on much needed research as well as helping to improve the care of patients.
Please help us in this effort.
