As you may already be aware, at the end of last year our Regional Manager, Craig Ford, celebrated the birth of his first child with his partner Kirsty.  Sadly, following routine post-natal checks, Nicholas was diagnosed as a sufferer of Cystic Fibrosis.

Having come to terms with the news and the challenge ahead, Craig and Kirsty are learning how to treat their son and make his life as comfortable as possible.  Various types of medication and physiotherapy are administered throughout each day to help clear mucus and ease discomfort.

Over and above their immediate responsibilities, Craig and Kirsty wish to do more to help other sufferers of Cystic Fibrosis.  The Cystic Fibrosis Trust funds research by Doctors and Scientists and they wish to raise as much money as possible to help the trust continue their excellent work.

Craig has enlisted the help of four of his colleagues at Charles Lawrence Surfaces to enter the Great North Run and raise funds for the charity.  The Great North Run, the worlds most popular half marathon, is from Newcastle to South Shields and takes place on Sunday 1^st October 2006.

With your help the team is looking to raise a combined target of over £10,000.00 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, to help find the cure and prevention of this illness.  The team consisting of Craig Ford, Simon Hall, Tony Aitchison, Dave Fearn and Garry Martin, would appreciate, no matter how big or small donation to show your support in our efforts.
