We fulfil unforgettable Special Days to support seriously ill 16 - 40 year olds

Story

UPDATE 5/12/2010

We completed a 5km Santa Run this morning, although it was not quite as we expected... The DoItForChairty event at Greenwich Park was cancelled late last night, so we DidItForCharityOURSELVES! Armed with Santa hats and wearing our numbers we went upto Wimbledon Common having planned out our own 5km route. Despite the snow, the mud and the puddles 8 members of Team Dave completed the 5km run - hurrah!

Thanks so much for all of your donations, see photos for evidence!

Love Team Dave Santas

Ho!Ho!Ho!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On 5th December 2010 some members of Team Dave are running (or attempting to run!) 5km while dressed as Santa to raise money for The Willow Foundation. This charity provides special days out for seriously ill 16-40 year olds, and treated Dave to a fantastic day out at Wembley Stadium in between his long stays in hospital.

As most of you know, Dave has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, and has been receiving treatment as an in-patient at St George's Hospital since June. The Willow Foundation is a brilliant charity, who at very short notice gave Dave a day to remember! Sadly, Leeds Rhinos lost but the luxury of watching this from a box made up for this...! :-)

You can keep up with Dave at his blog: http://www.daveadamson.wordpress.com/

We hope that you can help us to raise some money for The Willow Foundation, to give other young people a break from their treatment or illness.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now, or join us at Greenwich Park on 5th December as a fellow Santa or a cheering Elf! Get involved at http://www.doitforcharity.com/doitforcharity-5km-santa-run-2010.aspx?ad=eventsummary12
