'Team Grace' is back!
Your generosity in 2009 raised £7,600 for Leukaemia Research, thank you so much, but it would be great if we could raise more…….
Grace was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) in February 2008, it has been a tough ride but Grace has shown immense courage and bravery, we are so proud of her. Grace is really looking forward to starting school in Sept '09, which is a long awaited slice of normality. The treatment received by Grace has ensured that she will start school like every other child her age, we have got so much to thank Leukaemia Research for.
We would love to better our previous total, so over the next 10 months members of 'Team Grace' will be involved in a number of runs, including the main annual event 'The Reading Half Marathon'. These runs include:
18th October '09 Peter Driver Memorial 10k (Fleet) - Paul finished in 54m 25s
29th November '09 Maylarch Eynsham 10k (Oxford) - Paul finished in 51m 58s
28th February '10 Grace 10k (Thatcham) - Paul finished in 49m 46s (New PB)
21st March '10 Reading Half Marathon - Paul finished in 1h 59m 55s (New PB)
27th March '10 Military 10k (Redhill) - Tony finished in 1h 2m 11s
25th April '10 London Marathon - Paul & Tony finished in 4h 48m (That hurt!)
- Asa finished in 5h 11m
23rd May '10 Edinburgh Marathon - Dena finished in 4h 48m ....copycat! well done.
5th June '10 Blenheim Triathlon - George finished in 2h 12m & Adrian in 1h 34m (Well done both)
11th July '10 Race For Life - Helen finished in 38m (Well done Helz)
19th September '10 Great North Run - Tim & Yvonne finished, well done, it looked very wet on the telly!
24th October '10 Great South Run - Paul finished in 1h 31m... that's it for this year!
