We provide family-based care for children to ensure every child has a loving family

Story

This September two mighty teams comprised of some of Herbert Smith's finest lawyers will be taking on the corporate giants in a test of strength and will that some like to call a triathlon, but we like to refer to as our destiny. The teams are comprised of the legal-likes of:

who will be competing in the St. James's Place Foundation Triathlon on Sunday 21 September 2008 in aid of Hope and Homes for Children, a charity working to provide a home and future for orphaned and abandoned children around the world. To find out more about this worthy cause, please visit their website.

The race itself consists of a 400m swim, a 20km cycle ride and a 5km run on the gruelling country roads around St Albans. Certain members of the team, we won't mention names, have been tipped for the trophies of fastest male and female in each age category (under 30, 31-40,41-50 and 51+). Though we will let you know how this pans out on the day.

More importantly, we are aiming to raise £5,000.00 for this event, so please dig deep and give generously!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Hope and Homes for Children will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support,

Team HS.

Orphanages do not protect children. They harm them. We are working towards a day when every child can grow up in a loving family. There are millions of children across the world confined to loveless orphanages. Over 80% of them are not orphans. It doesn’t have to be this way.
