We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Where there is a Will, there is a Way….we hope!

Thank you for visiting our sponsorship page and entertaining our mildly (in)sane ambition to complete the London-Paris Cycle in June.

We will each be covering 600km over 3 days (26th – 28th), from London to Paris, and although not the Tour de France itself, it will be covering some of the infamous stages of the ‘King of the Hills’ and the Paris-Roubaix ‘Hell of the North’.

With rolling road closures, full mechanical backup, support vehicles, and a minimum speed requirement; the days will be long, and the pace will be fast. However, we will be training hard to keep up with the group of 300 or so club cyclists, amateur enthusiasts and a sprinkling of pros…can someone remind me why we are doing this again?!

The Reason:

Our target is to raise a minimum of £2,500 for the Alzheimer’s Society, which is an organisation that works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia.

The Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading care and research charity for people with dementia and those who care for them. There are 700,000 people with dementia in the UK with numbers set to rise to one million by 2025.

Even if your donation is just a couple of pounds, every donation goes straight to the charity and is gratefully received as it is for people that deserve our support and ability to make a difference to their lives.

We look forward to your support and thank you kindly.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
