We are the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor the team: NSPCC will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

The NSPCC's Safe Place Appeal is a bold and ambitious plan to tackle the devastating effects of child abuse in Merseyside.  It is a unique new centre which houses pioneering services to support children who have been abused by paedophiles; children who have endured domestic violence; unborn babies whose lives are endangered by substance-abusing mothers; children who feel there is no one to turn to.

This is the NSPCC's largest and most ambitious project ever undertaken outside London, fitting as Liverpool is where the NSPCC first started in 1882.

The last figures that we have from the Merseyside Police are from 2003/04. During that time there were a total of 1284 sexual offences against children reported to Merseyside Police. Put another way, 25 a week. These are the ones we know about. These are the ones that have been reported. Almost a whole classroom full of children every week

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
