Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page!

On the 1st and 2nd of August 2009 Team Pimbletts (formally the world's greatest pie shop) will be competing in the London Triathlon to raise money for the Huntington’s Disease Association.

Team Pimbletts super honed athletes are Alasdair Wilcock, Chris Walsh,Chloe Grant, Katherine McCauley, Emma Selway, Felicity Osborne, Aileen Stephens, Jo Cowling & Sharon Drysdale.

We are supporting the Huntington's Disease Association following the death of Alasdair's father Clive Wilcock in October last year. Clive was initially diagnosed with Huntington's over 10 years ago and from then and up until he passed away both he and his family received fantastic and much appreciated support from the HDA. By donating money and supporting our efforts we will be able to help the Association to continue to fund research programmes to find a cure for Huntington's and provide much needed support to other people and families who have been affected by Huntington's.

For the race we will be donning our one piece lycra suits, slapping on the all important vaseline ( to prevent chaffing obviously ) then swimming, cycling and running our hearts out and we need all the support we can get! (If we raise enough money Alasdair and Chris have promised not to wear one piece lycra suits so for the good of humanity please give generously)

Chloe, Katherine, Emma, Felicity, Aileen, Jo & Sharon will be taking part in the Sprint Triathlon on the Saturday, Swimming 750 meters, cycling 20k and running 5k.

Alasdair & Chris will be taking part in the Olympic Triathlon on the Sunday, swimming 1500 meters, cycling 40k and running 10k.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: the Huntington's Disease Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!
