working with The Christie
BBC Radio Manchester are proud to be working with The Christie as our first charity of the year partner. The Christie specialises in cancer treatment, research and education and is the largest cancer centre in Europe. Treating 40,000 patients a year from across Greater Manchester, the North West and the UK, The Christie became the first UK centre to be officially accredited as a comprehensive cancer centre.
The scope of everything they do at The Christie and the world class experts it attracts would not be possible without charitable giving and neither would the life saving hope it provides. The Christie charity is committed to revolutionising the fight against cancer by funding elements that lie outside the scope of the NHS. The Christie charity is unique in that it has the ability to enhance progress and delivery for the treatment of all cancers, across all ages and is able to help make The Christie the exceptional place it is for cancer patients and their families. The Christie remains dedicated to helping all those affected by cancer. Both now and in the future
