We are a group of Bolton based Mountainbikers who ride for fun and friendship (and the reward of a few cask ales :-). Last year though we swallowed our pride and took to road bikes & we cycled for The Christie smashing our target by raising over £2000. (We didn't stoop to wearing Lycra though!).
This year, we want to ride for Bolton Hospice & have decided to make the ride even more interesting by extending the official Manchester to Blackpool 60+ miler on July 8th to 110 miles by riding back to our home town of Sunny Bolton :-) - quite an achievement for a set of fat, nothern middle-aged blokes (FNMAB's) who just "don't do roads."
With regards to Bolton Hospice in case you didn't know, the level of caring, love, patience and sheer humanity that this organisation provides has to be seen to be believed & this not only extends to the patient - but also to the families of patients. Simply, it deserves all the support we can muster.
