Story
Dear all,
On the weekend of the 20th of May 2006 Lloyd’s Register are organising a charity event called the 24-Peak Challenge
The aim of the event is to raise money for Seafarers UK, who are one of the UK’s leading maritime charities. Seafarers UK provide support to seafarers across the UK, ranging from financial support for families who have lost loved ones at sea, through to retirement homes for those who served in the Royal Navy, Merchant Navy and the United Kingdom's fishing fleets. Lloyds’s Register are asking every team that is participating to raise at least £5,000
The challenge involves climbing 24 peaks of the Lake District, each one over 2,400 feet, in just 24 hours.
The Sunseeker Design Office has decided to accept this challenge and has put together the following team:
1. Ben Geary Legislation
2. Adam Brangan Construction
3. Oliver Pendleton Engineering
4. Niall Myant Engineering
5. Tim Baldwin Interiors
6. Luke Stride Conceptual/Engineering
7. Ben Mobley Engineering
These select few are now on a dedicated training programme (as some need to toughen up slightly!) and over the next few months will all be working hard to meet the required fitness levels.
