Story
On the 30th June 2012 our best friend, Natasha Shirley, lost her fight against cancer.
Throughout her two-year battle with the illness, Tash remained strong, positive and beautiful. She kept us laughing and she kept us believing that things would get better, even at times when they didn’t seem to be able to get any worse.
In 2011 we first formed 'Team Tash', along with Tash, and began raising money for Cancer Research UK. To date, we have raised over £2500.
This year we have decided we want to give something to Macmillan Cancer Support, who helped Tash greatly. Tash's Macmillan nurse, Jane, was fantastic, caring for her throughout her illness.
We are so unbelievably grateful to everyone who has sponsored us in the past, and we feel as people have been so generous it's time to up our game! So this time round, rather than running around a park in London, we've decided to head to China to trek across one of the wonders of the world!
The trek will cover over 46km of the Great Wall, including a day accending the famous 'Heavenly Stairway', a 300ft high viewing platform.
Although we are obviously very excited about this trek, we are doing this to honour Tash's memory.
The trip is completely self-funded, so everything you donate to us goes straight to Macmillan, and helps this wonderful charity continue to work hard for people with cancer.
Thanks for your support,
Dan, Steph and Jo
