Story
Having been beating a path around Clapham Common for the last 4 years we sturdily trounced the Wenzel Sisters in the Clapham Common 10k back in May (no, we don't know them either but they came last and not us!) So, with our first flush of success and the Olympics just around the corner we decided it was time to show what Team Taylor (a.k.a Team GBs secret weapon) have to offer by completing a half marathon. Run to the Beat took us up on our kind offer and so that's what we'll be doing on Sunday 26th September.
If we're honest, athletics doesn't come naturally to either of us - we like the bit afterwards where we enjoy a nice cup of tea and a piece of cake more. So, to make sure we stick with the training and to make the event more worthwhile, we've decided to run for charity. We've chosen the Princess Alice Hospice because they cared for our father, a former marathon runner himself, at the end of his life in 2003. With only a small proportion of their funding coming from the NHS they could really do with the money to help them to continue to provide such an important and valuable service to other families as well.
So, thank you so much for visiting our page - if you'd like to sponsor us that would be fantastic and we really appreciate the support. Equally, if you would like to give us your time then come and support us on the day - we'd love to see you!
Thank you!
