We provide vital funding to support seafarers in need.

Story

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

For our sins, we have decided to participate in one of the toughest challenges in the to raise money for charity, in this case Seafarers UK. This organisation has assisted seafarers and their families in coping with challenges in their lives, including homelessness, poverty and debt, for over 90 years. The charity, formerly the King George’s Fund for Sailors, works by providing grants to other organisations which provide the required assistance.

Together with a number of colleagues we are entering a team in the Seafarers UK 24 Peaks Challenge 2010 which will take place in mid July.  This requires us to climb 24 peaks, each over 2400 feet, in the in less than 24 hours! As you can imagine charity challenges do not come much more difficult than this.

All we are asking from you is your support in our attempt to raise a record sum for this event by becoming one of our sponsors.  A donation from you, whatever you can afford to give, would make a very real difference to those who risk their lives for our benefit, day in, day out.  We very much hope you share our respect for the World’s seafarers.

Assuming that you are able to make a donation please connect through our Just Giving link and our sincere thanks in advance.

Kind Regards
