Fundraising for Friends of PICU
Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
My son, William, was taken seriously ill at 10 days old with Group B Strep. He was admitted to Southampton General Hospital where he was taken care of by the staff of P.I.C.U. Without the care he received he would not be with us now and to say thank you I am trying to raise funds for the Friends of PICU charity. http://friendsofpicu.org.uk
Group B Strep is a common infection which can have devestating consequences in newborn babies. For more information see http://www.gbss.org.uk/
Friends of PICU are trying to raise money for essential equipment and the recruitment of a Psychologist (£100,000) who would support PICU for 3 years. This is a much needed facility to support parents, siblings and families who have had a child in PICU.
My 3 year old daughter, Emilia, is going to do a sponsored bike ride with her friends on Southampton Common.
